Introducing REFRACT, a resin furniture collection created in collaboration with Australian design brand SP01 and Hayden Cox—exclusive to Space Furniture and haydenshapes.com.

Comprising four pieces—a console, coffee table, side table and resin surfboard—the collection is made by hand in Australia by our resin and surfboard sanding team in Mona Vale.

A balance of craftsmanship and lineal minimalism, the collection is defined by its materiality—where shape, opacity and colour are led by the properties of resin itself.

The stacked lineal forms that shape the table bases draw from the rhythm of a wave set. Elongated triangular slabs—abstract waves—glow at the tip and deepen in colour as each prism expands.

“Working with intersected forms and shapes of varying thickness and transparency, each piece has been designed to uniquely interact with its space—shifting in hue throughout the day and from different viewpoints.”

Functioning as both sculpture and furniture, each piece features a unique internal catalyst texture that refracts light and transforms colour—like sunlight passing through seawater.
